Getting started with Scandi Shopify Theme

Overview

Thank you for choosing Scandi, a custom Shopify theme designed to give your store a clean Scandinavian look with flexible customization options. This guide will walk you through the basics so you can get your store up and running quickly.

Quick start

Theme Installation

• Download the latest version of the Scandi theme (.zip file).
• In your Shopify Admin, go to Online Store → Themes.
• Click Upload theme and select the scandi.zip file.
• Once uploaded, click Actions → Publish to make Scandi your active theme.

Theme Editor Access

After publishing:

• Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
• The Shopify Theme Editor lets you edit sections, colors, fonts, and layout directly without touching code.
• Scandi supports drag-and-drop sections, so you can easily move and rearrange content blocks on your homepage and other templates.

Required Settings

To make sure Scandi works as intended, configure the following:

• Navigation: Set up your Main Menu and Footer Menu under Online Store → Navigation.
• Branding: Upload your store Logo and Favicon under Theme Settings → Brand.
• Colors & Fonts: Adjust the look and feel in Theme Settings → Colors and Theme Settings → Typography.

Recommended Setup

For best results, we recommend:

• Uploading high-quality images (minimum 2000px width for banners).
• Configuring your collections and products before customizing sections.
• Using Shopify metafields for advanced product details (Scandi includes built-in support).
